I'd not eat raw chicken, but oysters must be raw.

 

Who would eat raw chicken??? Fast way to go to the hospital.
Not an oyster fan at all.
My mother loved cooked snails. Disgusting things.

 

And all about as Kosher as pork chops. (LOL) No fears, I tell anyone local who's Orthodox, I'll take care of them. I've eaten snails too, and they weren't bad.

 

I am not kosher so that was never an issue. So I have had my share of those yummies.

Obviously these are not safe treif,

 

I've eaten sea urchin, which was rather good. Also, live clams. Wriggling. Yummy.

 

No fins, no scales, and oysters don't swim so ..nope.(LOL) The only thing worse would be bacon-wrapped snails. No wonder they taste OK.

 

I've eaten urchin but wasn't a huge fan. Live clams.... no thanks; I'll stick to chowder.

Everything I’ve ever seen about these is just generically “divided serving dishes”. Howev, did see one say the smallest sections were for salt & pepper. ‍♀️
I like Henriot Quimper pottery. I have a wall pocket envelope which I stumbled upon in a local treasure shop a couple of years ago.

 

The clams were yum.
