That was an excellent read, I enjoyed it very much, thank you!

Something I have noticed is that of all the pictures I have collected, women are most reserved in the older days and seem to have the reverse effect men have.

Something I wondered about the sports teams was as it became more "commercialized" they became more uniformed in their pictures so you could see the team name and or sponsored. It also shows more of a dominate intimidating nature than all hugged up with each other.
I think culture would see this and want to imitate their role models.
I personally enjoy the fun pictures along with a serious one.

I bought a lot of photos that had two pictures of some sort of men's group on an outing.
Its older, maybe early 1900s, one is of a more posed nature and the other is a relaxed card playing and picnicking next to the rail road tracks.

Something I have noticed in today's culture is with my friend in thd military, who are single, they are less worried how they are perceived with other men. Sure they have their side by sides with their weapons but they also have your more "intimate" and goofy photos as well.
They even act this way when home from deployment. I found it interesting that the men who are not used to "brotherhood" raised a brow, but most women found nothing wrong with it.

My significant other has never been a cuddly type. His best friend forces him into embraces all the time, but that is how his friend is.
He is a more touchy feely and likes the physical embrace of those he loves, whether they are friends or lovers.

Interesting topic of hiw cultures have changed

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Nice find, Brad -- thanks for posting.

Recently in one of the Facebook collector groups, somebody posted a photo of two men that was one of the not-so-obviously gay but also affectionate looking photos. And she asked people if they thought the men were gay. This was an early 20th-century photo. It turned out that one of the men in the photo was a relative of hers who was known to be gay and she thought he was in a relationship at the time with the other man in the photo. And before she disclosed that piece of information, people were guessing yes, no, not sure, etc. -- This recent experience is why I posted above to say that unless people are known to be gay or if the photo is a very obvious pose, it's just not something I'd like to speculate upon.
