Featured Pueblo Blackware Pot... restore?

    It's funny...how a big ugly busted pot....could look so wonderful in it's simplicity.....!!!!!!!!!

    Display it well !!! :)

    And these pots do have life-- such a tactile expression, such a visceral connection to the woman who once made it-- it's so worth saving. Great work!

    You are so right. This pot was on a shelf in my mother-in-law's garage since the 1990s. Broken and sad, languishing in a cardboard box.
    I am so glad that I got the opportunity to make it whole again.
    Now it's in our living room, back to life, and I can admire it everyday.

    It wasn't too hard to repair. Mr. Stracci helped me to position the really big piece. That was a two-man job. Then I worked on the smaller shards myself. The Duco Cement is a great product.
    We recently had a toddler and his Mom come to visit. I stood over my pot like a mother bear while that little kid charged around my living room throwing toys:eek:

    Yeah, it was an impromptu visit and I didn't have time to baby-proof the house. The sweet little rug rat also put a small dent on my new refrigerator and a 4" scratch on my new dishwasher. I didn't notice these things till they were gone. Grrrrr......:mad:
