    Ah ok. I think blue may always denote practice ordnance. Short of the rockets fired on the range the bombs were blue. The rockets usually buried what was left in the ground making a PERFECT place for the mosquitos. :p

    If I recall correctly the nuclear delivery practice weapons were grayish.

    They had the grid tails to slow their fall so the aircraft could haul a$$ away.
