Pottery is not my thing is this worth keeping?

    Was hoping someone might have some input on the second jug. Although badly damaged, an ID for learning purposes would be helpful. Some provenance might help us here. OP, where are you or do you know where this came from? If in the US, I could see this being by one of the Southern potters. Anyone else have an idea?

    Nada on origin, just an observation on shape. Despite the little spout, does not look functional to me, possibly even top heavy & at risk of toppling over if filled too high. Also, handle does not look comfortable in the hand or well balanced for pouring. A decorative piece.
