So your painting is in the U.S.? Frame, from what I can see of it, looks 1950s-ish.

Out of curiosity is it safe to sell things like this without paperwork? Would we would need to get it officially authenticated or is it fine to sell as is?

Well, if it were mine... I wouldn't bother to authenticate. Time consuming and costly. And we're not talking a Picasso here. Signature looks right; subject looks right.

Here's a work of his from eBay Spain. Much more dramatic than yours so not apples and apples. It sold for $204.16. And there were 21 bids from approximately 12 different bidders so generated a fair amount of interest.
