O.K., Bakers, You are probably as close to being right as one's ever going to get!!!! I said before I wrote to the Jamestown Historical Museum (RI), but heard back later....and that individual sent me to a site that had a booklet ( https://archive.org/stream/reportofjamestow01rhod#page/n5/mode/2up ) which is a tome to read and I am FAR from finishing, BUT.....There WAS an OFFICIAL RI State Ter-Centennial Commission sent to the JAMESTOWN TER-CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION.....in April of 1907 for the opening of the Exhibition, there were 5 Commissioners in particular who read parts of the original Rhode Island Charters, each seem to be wearing a pin, but totally NON-discernible......photo attached. Since from what I'm piecing together, RI was actually the original charter, they also put up a building in Jamestown to show early life in NE/RI whatever else! And yes they could have sold pins as well. I would love to think mine is one of 5, but probably not a chance!!!! Oh, also if KOT is watching am re-posting the pin just because in this pic of the back you can just make out the T....do not ask me why!!!! My thought generally though is it's an earlyish representation of the State logo.....OOOOps....re-read Kings info....at 1882, that's not gonna work!!!!!
