Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

@KikoBlueEyes, OK, that took a while....had to take, then resize the pics....am also including Alan's letter so I have my provenance!! From what I read, some of the Clichy's are worth pretty decent !! Sorry about the color in #3, I must have been shading it unintentionally!! And I turned the 'weight' to be sure I got all of the 'canes'....think I did!! If you think you need or want them, I also have a few links on paperweights overall, but I think a couple of them had added info on Clichy....... my oldest brother got the rest and best of Mom's collection, I was lucky enough to get one!!!!! (The only other one I had {NOT a Clichy} was one with some flaws which he said had another friend who collected that type!!) OOOPS! Size of mine is 2 1/8" across and 1 1/2" high/tall!!

@Ownedbybear, I hadn't dug out my Clichy in a LONG time...and I have forgotten which 'cane' is the 'signature-for-sure' cane....and I found the description in other references to be confusing.....do you know FOR SURE, and is it in my FIRST image....the close-up or one of the other images I posted??? Thank you for your help!! OR did I mis-mark with the arrow in the SELMAN image I posted earlier???

The letter said the rose cane was in the center of yours.

I haven't heard from her that she sent them yet. Probably a more formidable task than she expected. Though the distance is short only 500 miles, it depends what shipper she uses. I will post every one for people to see.

I know, but it didn't say the middle one was the "Signature Cane"....I
marked a different one in the SHERMAN image, ...UNLESS I'm missing something!....which is why I'm seeking a clarification from someone!!!:) Kiko, it's not a huge 'weight'....size is above in my opening text. AND thank you.....I DO just LOVE it also!!!!!:happy:

Ooops. I was confused what weight we were talking about. An expert will be along here in awhile to clear up the mystery of the Selman weight.

Wow. That's gorgeous isn't it! You can see the rose cane easily in that one.

    Update on the weights:

    1. One of the scrambles is a New England Glass paperweight - an antique.

    2. The other scramble is Chinese.

16 more to go. Will report as I learn more.

Is it just me, or does the second Chinese one look like a box of Christmas "ribbon candy"?

Mmmmm - ribbon candy. Every year I mean to get a box, then I forget.

I don't know where you would go. Most candy stores have disappeared around here just like the doughnut shops.

Second batch. Two of the weight turned out to be winners - both Perthshire weights, so I've made more back in the cost of the 18 weights with the first four. Here are the photos, the first one of which includes a paperweight I have had for years (the one on the far right.)

Third Report from the 18 unknown weights

This one turned out to be a close packed miniature (1 1/2") from the 60-70's from Strathearn.
