    Can you tell if the frame is molded or carved? If molded you can often see on the back of the frame divets of left by bubbles.

    The stab wounds were inflicted by Gerard van Velsen, whose daughter had been brutally raped by Floris V. She was not the only one.
    The book seems to favour the Orangist angle. Floris is an ancestor of the later 'royal' family. Like many in power they are very good at editing out the criminal tendencies in their bloodline.
    No, they're not. Examples of Dutch frames can be seen on old Dutch paintings, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Frans Hals, etc.:)

    Hey I was talking about commercial German frames and the possibility of Dutch frames being similar, and only referring to the 20thc -not Old Masters!:jawdrop:
