I thought this would be easy. So many sites about Orrefors, dating it would be a piece of cake - not. So I come before you, once again, and ask for help. I resisted buying this simple but elegant crystal vase, because the resale shop had put a high price on it. On Friday they had a sale, though, and it was 50% off. I waited in line; clutched it in my hand, and forked over the cash.

When I got home I went on the hunt for information. I measured it at 10 inches tall and it weighed in at 1lb 11.4 ounces. According to this site: http://www.great-glass.co.uk/glass notes/swedish.htm the P etched on the bottom meant the artist was Sven Palmqvist - at least that was what I got out of my search. Otherwise, I could not find a citation for P 4404 - 221. I've read about Orrefors here a number of times, so I'm hoping someone can help me. It has a lovely bump on the top rim that leads me to believe it was hand made. Any comments will be gratefully appreciated.
