The box has a crude repair to the lid. The glass is obviously missing, and the mechanism that locks the needle against the glass is gone. From the marks on the wood, it seems there has been something round attached where the small hole for the needle locking pin should have been. Im, wondering if this is all for the locking mechanism, or if something else has been attached at the same point.
