Old School Desks

    The were remove because they no longer used dip pens!

    They were the ones talking to kids about melting lead into pencils on the desktop.

    We had the same kinds of desks through sixth grade, writing in the wood and all.

    I never had to use one, thankfully, but did get stuck with one piece desks that slanted the wrong way all the way through college. They were all right-handed.(grrrrr) I'm not sure how you'd use one of those desks in a home.

    I have one of these....ink well included!!! No place to put it...may poly coat it and put it outside.....

    They can be used as a variation of "step tables," and during the 60's they were useful as telephone tables.
