    I would bet my left testicle that it's an oil painting. Not a very good one but I'm sure it's painted

    interesting, definitely looks like paint there, so its on card stuck to board

    can you take a close up of the paint work, showing cracks, paint strokes

    I don't think it's on card. I can't feel or see any laminate on the surface. It looks like it is painted directly onto the timber.

    It actually looks like there is vanish on the surface but I don't know why they would do that.

    As I said it's a shoite painting anyway so does it really matter? :p

    Your artist would appear to be a 19ct continental artist SALETTI. A similar work [ hunting scene ]by him sold on Invaluable.
