    I have seen a few Christie's stencil stock numbers online, usually stock numbers have two letters before three numbers - 1977 - after , OR two letters after three number stock number - before 1977. Christies also used a one letter stock number with one letter after the numbers in the 1870's to 1899 so I have been told by Christies. I am trying to find out more information about one letter stock numbers that were used and the dates they were used in. There seems to be a lack of knowledge around the 19th century stock numbers / early stock numbers.
