[QUOTE="GaleriaGila, post: 91232, member: 993"]Picked this up at a house- sale... yes, you people have started me going to house sales now. Anywayyy... this looks old to me; I recall learning that multi-paned, raised metal-on-wood could mean age and quality. It's about 13 x 25 inches. Obviously wooden back, with non-magnetic metal (looks like brass but has shiny coppery spots). I can't find any marks anywhere. The mirror's edges are raised and angular... kinda prism-y... see the last photo... that's the best I can do. It looks a bit like the fabulous giltwood old mirrors, but the metal covering is obviously a thin sheet of molded or hammered or shaped metal. It interested me enough to buy it and learn more about old mirrors! Googling now! Hmmm... looks like a beat-up version of this!!!!!! Baroque?
