Featured Nestles' "Assorted Foil-Wrapped Chocolates" Tin Casket (Ca. 1920)

    It's much later than the 30s. That's a 1970s or even early 80s copy of an earlier tin. The label is one huge clue, but the other biggie is the tinning on the inside. See the colour and sheen on it? Early tinning was greyish and would show real signs of deterioration through being exposed to the atmosphere. There was a big thing for tin collecting in the 70s and 80s, it's when I was into it. Many manufacturers capitalised on that.

    Thanks for the responses, guys. I suspected that not everything was what it might be. Regardless, I will keep it. I just love the decorations too much :) It cost me next to nothing anyway. It was part of a whole heap of similar tins all going for $5.00 each.
