Featured Need some help with description of Murano pieces.

    Can you take a pic of the label. I have a few pages bookamrked at home that might be able to ID the maker for you.

    I will say that "Latticinio or latticino" is correct. It refers to the technique of using rows of thin threads of glass as a decoration element, usually in a swirling or twisting pattern in Hot Art Glass. One definition: An opaque white glass used in threads to decorate clear Venetian glass... Art Glass Artists now use many colors as well as white when creating latticino in their works.

    I can say ..in my opinion...the parrot is much better quality than the rooster...!

    Yes, that is the sticker. :happy::happy:

    The vase does not have a sticker & I do think it is much earlier than the figurines.

    I bought it because there are a lot of people who collect roosters. I wish I sold locally because he would sell as a Gamecock. Although some folks around here would think it sacrilegious to have the color orange associated with the Gamecock in any way. ;):eek::p:rolleyes::rolleyes::D:D
