For several years now I have used a bookmark I created myself for translating pages into English. For the life of me I can't remember where I found the instructions of creating the bookmark. Anyways, when on a foreign language web page, I click the link and it automatically translates the page into English. The bookmark code is several lines. If I copy it into this message some of the code may take a different form, but try anyways.

javascript:var%20t=((window.getSelection&&window.getSelection())||(document.getSelection&&document.getSelection())||(document.selection&&document.selection.createRange&&document.selection.createRange().text));var%20e=(document.charset||document.characterSet);if(t!=''){location.href='http://translate.google.com/translate_t?text='+t+'&hl=en&langpair=auto|en&tbb=1&ie='+e;}else{location.href='http://translate.google.com/translate?u='+escape(location.href)+'&hl=en&langpair=auto|en&tbb=1&ie='+e;};

I have this bookmark on my "Bookmarks Toolbar." No doubt one will find other ways to create a language translating bookmark on the web. --- Susan
