I like eel sushi, but otherwise their best uses are critter chow and "leather".

Jellied eels, mash and likker. Yum.

I have never eaten eels and sushi is not my thing either.

Whilst discussing eel skin today, my grandpa brought up a pair of eel skin dress shoes he was given. They were worn by a famous preacher named B Owen Oslin. (1924-2001)

Grandpa said they were custom made. The label says “Balentino Shoe Salon”

the soles are made by an Italian company called Vibram.

I wasn’t able to find any more information on them, but they’re neat.

He would like to sell them, too. Do any of you know if there’s a market for vintage men’s shoes like these? AAA963D6-3955-4E45-AF8B-681C8ECC59EA.jpeg FFBA8118-A9AD-4321-94C2-0391540CA69C.jpeg 5134D108-8D21-4538-B6D2-EC12F5FCBD84.jpeg 3AB0B407-5F71-4728-B1A4-ADFC1126CAE1.jpeg

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

if u can prove they belonged to Oslin.......then maybe the Christian connection could mean something to someone....

    otherwise.....they are pretty beat up....& I 4 1 don't see a market...:sorry:

That fits with the eel skin, IIRC.

That is so weird! I must be blind or must have done something wrong. Slightly embarrassed, but thank you!

Nothing to be embarrassed about. Computer gremlins sure to be responsible.

Some people REALLY LOVE PINK! The interior pink suede with multi pockets and compartments is just wonderful and the outside is very nice also with its pink stitching. Could be used as a home decorative where you stack suitcases and this would be on top. A "Pretty In Pink Home Decorative" or for use as intended.

And if you put it on line, be prepared to ship to Asia. I can see it going to a new home in China or South Korea very easily.

I have never shipped overseas before.

If you were me, what would you do? (Your job is to help grandma sell it)

Get a box that fits it before listing. Pack it up and measure/weigh. Run that through a calculator to see if shipping gets you stuck with DIMM weighting. (if it's more than 12x12x12 cubic inches, it gets priced like a 30-pound box if you use USPS shipping.) Go from there.
