My uncles old wicker chest

    rather not, a typical European thing. I think they 'd rather have taken bamboo as outer frame and bamboo leaves.

    Pretty sure the top just says Modele Depose, meaning something like Registered or Trademarked.

    I am very curious about that "Malle Ideale" mark, because it turns up as a trademark for Louis Vuitton luggage later. But I cannot find any evidence that Vuitton produced wicker containers.
