What's funny to me is it looks like there's a ghost in the pictures.. which I think is just your reflection in the glass, Kaspers. :D

Funny that you say that because I was looking at it earlier and saw something kind of strange which I know isn't my reflection. What I saw was right above his head. I also see my reflection though.

Even funnier is that I was telling my husband about this thread when my daughter woke up crying he went upstairs to check on her and came back with the picture. He said "I am done with this thing Robin. Done! Let it cause problems in the garage. I am done!"

He said, she said there was something bumping around in her closet, which is where it was. I guess that was the last draw for him.

He really is a very down to earth guy but he hates this picture.

I had a really hard time getting a clear photo of it. I took several and they all came out blurry and out of focus. I think that was mainly cause of the glass but I did think it was a bit strange.

I am not much on ghost. I mean I am not saying they don't exist but I have always felt them to be more good than bad if they were there at all. I lived in a lot of old houses growing up and I never saw anything but I did feel or sense things from time to time but it always seemed to have good intentions. Never scary. I always felt safer with them around. More like they were watching over me than trying to cause any harm.

I don't want to sound silly or crazy but I do think some things can give off a resonance from the past. There is a couple of stories I could tell about this photo. It definitely gives off a resonance. I tend to laugh things off, my husband not so much. He really truly does not like this picture and I kind of understand why. It has some vibrations coming from it. That I do feel.

In the past when we had guest stay in the room where it hung they have mentioned an uncomfortable feeling or a presence in the room with them. A couple have opted for our couch after the first night. They mentioned these things without knowing how my husband felt or knowing anything about the picture itself.

I just feel like even if there is something there it can't hurt me. I am much more afraid of the living than the dead.

I don't really lean one way or the other. There's a lot of things in this world I don't understand it doesn't mean it isn't real but I sure don't feel the need to call a priest or burn sage. :) At least not yet. :) However I could tell you some stories that might make you think I am crazy not to.

Pets that wouldn't enter the room it hung in, lights blowing out weekly, faucets turning themselves on full blast and items not just falling but being launched across the room with a good amount of force.

One time my dog freaked out barking at the door of the room. My husband took off running in the other direction but I went to investigate. There was a really strange almost static electricity feeling that was very noticeable as you entered the room. It made the hair on my arm stand up. That was a little scary. I will admit.

I have always tended to side with practical explanations like electrical and plumbing problems or it just being too cold for the dog in that room.

Now the objects that were thrown or the static feeling that I experienced that night I haven't been able to explain but I am sure there is an explanation.

Yep. The dang thing is haunted.

OH MY...... Kasper!!! But you ARE the friendly ghost aren't you? (Even though you have spelling issues for your name.) ;)
    ~
I knew it. That's why I won't look at it again.
    ~
And no...not watching the video. ;)
    ~
I suggest, if you are going to keep it (safe deposit box...maybe?) write all this down and put it with it...attach it to the back or whatever.
    ~
It is quite interesting that it doesn't bother you and you are the only one. Must be something you need to know about this person and they want you to know but can't tell you.
Have you looked to see if anything is tucked into/behind it?
    ~
Perhaps you're the chosen one to help this person move on, by whatever means you determine, but not simply getting rid of it for that won't solve this.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Do you think this photo is of anybody in your family? (You mentioned your grandmother gave it to you.) If so, I can see keeping it. I'm not freaked out by the photos of it. Might be different in person, perhaps.

But if it's not a family member, you might be able to sell it if you tell some of the stories about it. I've noticed that younger people especially still like ghost stories.

My DinL loves such things and I just sent her another ghost book.
    She would be fascinated.

    Hi,
I had a photo of my great great great uncle. I was not sure if it was Uncle John Robert or his brother Uncle John Fred. In this family all of the boys were named John there were five boys all named John (something or other). I thought my family was weird but back then they were even more weird. Most people did not like the photo since it gave them such bad vibes. It never bothered me. My one nephew got married and his new wife wanted the photo of my ggg uncle since she loved the frame it was in. I gladly gave it to her. She was so happy. For a year the marriage was let's said unhealthy. My nephew gave back the photo and their marriage became peaceful. I do not know if it was the photo or not. My nephew always said the photo made him feel uneasy in his own home and his wife was always nervous and unhappy around it.

Kasper.....Greg......there are things out there we just don't understand ....although some claim they do.

Long story short......I have an african mask.
It led me to it's hiding place ( it was really hidden from sight..) in an antique store.....where I had to buy it.
After years of it sitting on my shelf in the back room of my gallery, I placed it in a box , where years later other boxes, papers and files had piled up on top of it was virtually out of sight.
    It didn't like that !
One day a couple of odd folks walked in the gallery , sat down at my desk and we were chatting.
All of a sudden , both became highly agitated & were insistent on locating the object that they say was giving off strong vibrations and energy that was causing them distress.
We were sitting in a fully stocked Indian art gallery & I was curious as to which native mask or carving could be freaking these folks out !!
They said " no, not here , it was in the back room " ........Huh ?
OK, I had some choice items there , so I invited them in.
They went straight to a pile of boxes & papers , started shaking , & said that's where the vibrations were coming from.
There was no other art work there, just storage stuff , but they homed in on one box .......& then I remembered what was in it !!

I dug it out from the pile, & opened it up to reveal that African mask.
That's when the both of them went wide eyed scared, started ranting at each other & bolted out the back, thru the gallery & out the front door ....never looking backwards !
I never saw them again.......took the mask out of the box and placed it carefully back on a shelf.....with a nice view of it's surroundings.

Now it sits on a shelf , surrounded by african items, 8 feet away from where I'm sitting.
    I suppose it's content !

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

During the time the b & m Gallery was open, I was visited by movie stars , comedy stars, the most famous tattoo artist in France, the ceo or pres of Bear Stearns, ( not sure) , 4 cops with their guns drawn...in my direction...& a host of miscreants , famous native artists, & the general public.
Of all the stories I have , this one is the kicker, & only 3 people know what happened that day....& I've never seen or heard from the other 2 !

    & here it is......................
