New or old, it sure is pretty.

 

Late to the party but it's known as a Slag Glass shade , one of my co-workers donated an original to our firehouse for one of the bedrooms and had no idea what it was ......lol.... as far as I know , it's still there , I never told them what it was and left it at that ....was it a tiffany? probably not...was it very old , yes !

If you can remember that would be great. I was taken by it immediately. I'm sure I'm not the only one. If I can find out more about it in terms of how recent and what a new one would cost, then I will be better positioned to decide whether it will come home with me. This resale shop often prices things wildly high for purported antiques, and that would be a no go for me.

 

Thank you Fireman. I'm trying to track it down as it is in the newer range. This is an excellent lead. Must have been hard not to ask for the lamp knowing its age. Especially around those who may not appreciate it. Will search slag lamps now.
