My keris friend just sent the answer of the Moro expert:

"This Moro piece is relatively late (1950s-60s). On a late piece like this it is not necessarily a marriage, but adds bling to the piece and makes it more eye-catching, even though I am not aware of any such hilt style among the Moro. It looks more like a badik hilt.
Also notice the shallowly chiseled details and thin stirrup, an no separate ganja.
Another give away that it is quite late is the more angled/pointed luks...not shallow and more subtle like the old ones."

He doesn't seem to mind the marks at the base of the blade, doesn't mention them. I did ask, but if it doesn't matter to him, it doesn't to me.

Well, I said I never thought this to be an older one....& his comments reflect the differences of an older piece......still that's what I thought I was getting so at 50 to 60 years old , I'm content.
As for the other blade I've learned a lot....and from what you've said it's a way better item than I was led to believe......so win win !!!!

Thank you again for your time & effort......& that of your pal also !
