    The stone is too abraded for cerium oxide to help.If it is a triplet and separating the stone would need to be replaced if you intend on wearing.If it gets bumped while wearing it will continue to fall apart.

    Thanks for your thoughts, Holly. At some point I'll probably take the ring to a jeweler for a gemologist to take a look. Henry Steig's pieces are collectible so I do want to be careful with it.
