In 1958 the Regiment became part of the Green Jacket Brigade, when the regular battalions were supposed to wear the Brigade cap badge. In 1966 the Royal Green Jackets Regiment was formed, the Regiment becoming 2nd Battalion The Royal Green Jackets (The King’s Royal Rifle Corps), wearing the Royal Green Jackets Regiment cap badge. In 1968 the KRRC sub-title was dropped.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Physical description</b></p><p>A Maltese Cross, on the top arm of which a tablet inscribed "CELER ET AUDAX" (Swift and Bold). Above the tablet an imperial (King's) crown. In the centre of the cross is a circle inscribed "THE KING'S ROYAL RIFLE CORPS". Within the circle, voided, is a stringed bugle.
