Thank you. So it does have some internal wear that would be consistant with it being used as an ashtray. Now how about sharing the dimensions?

9 inches wide by 4 in tray. 9 x 9 to end of handle. Hope that helps find it in the wild. 1909 to 1939 era was helpful

So 9" long and 4" deep. And the three compartments aren't of equal size.

Your piece doesn't appear to be hand welded.
