Congratulations on the new arrival!

And I'll take Calder any day if the only option is Warhol. ;)

    Thanks.
Vote for Calder too. You can add another option.

Just get a quote from one of the many places that re-chromes car bumpers, betcha its less than a bumper especially if the owner does the prep work himself. And when it comes back in all its chromed MCM-ish glory, the owner will wonder how he could possibly have been worried about the cost!

Or call my friend Jason K. at Poly-Metal Finishing in Springfield, MA-he might give a low quote on it if he thinks it is an interesting project.

I LOVE this!!!! OMG, it is not easy to create the swirls and the balance the way this artist did. My aunt and uncle were friends with Harry Bertoia and I have letters from him in his early years, when he was working with the Navy trying to pay for his passion which was sculpture. There were many "throw aways" before he had his high end selling pieces. Honestly, much of his sculptures never did sell for the really big money until long after his death!!!! Do you still have it?

    Ok....
First of all it wouldn't be uncommon for the rawness of welds to be left as is. It's part of the art....if it's art.
Second..... How many do you want?
If this is hot....I need to get back in my shop...

I love it. I'm not sure what you wanted for it. I realize it is not signed nor by any fancy artist.....but one of my favorite pieces of art in my home is by an artist named Hiram Williams, who never made it big in the auction houses, but he taught Richard Diebenkorn who went on to sell paintings for millions and always regarded his teacher, Williams, as his biggest inspiration.....So, I love art. No matter the financial value attached to it. I'm brand new here, only days....but I will see if I can message you directly!! Thank you for answering after 2 years! Made my week!!!

I'm glad you like it but I do too :)
I would probably keep for now. Maybe will decide to sell it when I sell out all my other junk.
