    Interesting post!

Looking at the seller, 99% of what he/she sells are absolutely fantastic and rare MCM lamps. Maybe someone was browsing the seller's inventory and had to have these...

Agree w/all the suggestions, look for sig, give it a shot on Ebay.

(Or if keeping at your B/M, maybe Kokoma's suggestion of printing out the "sold" Ebay listing. If you had it in your store for quite a bit less than half, maybe $125... someone might really take a 2nd look seeing that two went for $699. )

    Best of luck.

When I got this lamp, I figured it would sell on ebay in the $40-50.00 range but wouldn't be worth the hassle of shipping to sell at that price. I also thought that I could sell it at a similar price in my mall space. Now, a few months later, it is still sitting at $39.00. To top it off, I am running a January clearance sale at 30% off and it still sits. My experience selling lamps locally has not been good. They want them under $30.00 in working condition and with nice shades for the most part. Every table lamp I have priced $39.00 or more, going on two years now, has had to be discounted to sell or I have brought it back home. :grumpy: :(

I had the mall pull the lamp today and I will pick it up later. It is definitely going to go on ebay. With my luck, it will sit and have to be discounted to sell .......

If you can move it for $150 it might be worth it. Packing the sucker is one reason I don't generally sell lamps!

Picked up my lamp today. Took it apart and it is unsigned. The clay is whitish and there is a number hand incised into the clay. No other clues to maker. The fittings on my lamp are different than these but the pottery is identical. The base and top piece on mine are brass plated steel rather than wood. I will go ahead and get this listed this coming week and see what happens.
