I can hear #Silverthwaite coming over the dispatch "10-4,10-4, antiquers"

For a second i thought maybe your son's name was Igneous!

Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic are much better than some of the names people give there children. Igneous is best I think:cool:.

Wazzamattaferyou!!?? You don't like Blue, and Apple, and Hashtag?

(And we wonder why some of today's offspring behave like pre-historic monsters...)

Unfortunately the Science museum's one has been removed so I needed an example of the label, although I think this version is 50+ years younger than mine. On better news these sorts of scales have risen in value over the past 7 years, many going for £1000's, the cheapest I've found are £800 but they aren't as good. BTW the wall is still standing :)

Wow. They are wonderful pieces of equipment, of course.
So glad to hear it.:playful: I'm sure it'll last centuries.

I don't know why I missed this thread when originally posted but reading through it was a treat, "hearing" some voices from the past.
