Hi, again! I have a friend who was recently gifted this beautiful Luger Furniture buffet. We're trying to get an approximate value to decide whether or not to paint it or restore it (not much to do there, honestly). About a week after, the people who gave her the buffet added the matching dining room table and chair set because she loved the buffet so much. Such generosity! I don't have pictures of the table and chairs, sorry, but I do of the buffet. I know Luger is well-made furniture, but I'm confused on the date. This one says 1857, but I thought they weren't formalized as a company until 1860ish. Is it a date marker or just an "established in ..." marker? Any clue on the age/approximate value of the buffet? How about the dining room table and chairs (assuming they are in comparable good condition)? Thank you so much! I appreciate your help!!
