Lovely George IV SAUCE SPOON What was it used for?

Joy, we had good friends at the British embassy when we lived in DC. Every time we went to the UK, we simply HAD to bring back cans of Heinz Baked Beans for our dear friend Rob. The ones in the US, even the Heinz brand, are apparently completely different! (I positively DESPISE beans, so I wouldn't know!)

Rob also used to sneak a can or two in thru the embassy's "diplomatic pouch", too, whenever he could get away with it!

 

Went out and had Pulled Pork Sliders last night with Barbecue sauce.......yummmmmmmmmmmm

 

How many ??

 

The overstuffed serving is 3.......and that's JUST what I ATE....along with just as yummy Fried Onion Rings......don't do it often.....but when I do....I DO enjoy them!!

My Mother had a set of six spoons much like your spoon - which originally belonged to my Great Grandmother - and she called them "Toddy Spoons". However, we used them for serving dollops of cream onto home made apple tart .
