<p>
I wonder if this would qualify as a male version of a "Frozen Charlotte" doll. I believe the male version was called a "Frozen Charlie." according to the following Wikipedia. They came "in white, pink-tinted, or, more rarely, painted black. Some rare examples have moulded chemises. Male dolls (identified by their boyish hairstyles) are called Frozen Charlies." The only thing that makes me doubt it would be considered a "Frozen Charlotte or Charlie" is that it is in a seated position. I think??? they are all standing??? I have a girl one that was my grandmother's dating to the early 1880s.</p><p><br /></p><p><a href="http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frozen_Charlotte_(doll)" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frozen_Charlotte_(doll)" rel="nofollow">http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frozen_Charlotte_(doll)</a></p><p><br /></p><p><a href="http://www.ebay.com/gds/Frozen-Charlotte-And-Charlie-Antique-Doll-Buyers-Guide-/10000000000915405/g.html" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.ebay.com/gds/Frozen-Charlotte-And-Charlie-Antique-Doll-Buyers-Guide-/10000000000915405/g.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.ebay.com/gds/Frozen-Charlotte-And-Charlie-Antique-Doll-Buyers-Guide-/10000000000915405/g.html</a></p><p><br /></p><p>--- Susan
</p><p><br /></p>
