    Your gold decorated pitcher may be one of two things. American with gold decoration, or French with gold filled engraving. If the gold is below the surface, it's what American glass manufacturers did to copy the French wares. If it's engraved, that's another thing entirely, to be prized.

    I agree 100%
    If it makes me smile, that is the main thing; and I ignore the little voice that says "but it is such a good price, I could resell it for more." My house is already too cluttered, without adding stuff I don't really like, in hopes of profitable resale.
