This necklace was in the 4 for £10 pile at the antiques fair. Of course I had to oblige and find 4 items to buy

It’s large at 3” across. Unmarked that I can see. I have a few questions as always. 1) Do the pendant and chain look right together or are a marriage? I’ve not come across what looks like hammered paper clip chain before. 2) The stone is amazing! It’s got such depth and luminosity. It is slightly UV reactive (unless there is glue underneath reacting?) but Mary swears it’s stone not glass and there are absolutely no bubbles. Neither can I see any inclusions. A very slight yellow hint unless it’s the overhead lights confusing it. Any ideas of what it is please? 3) The old chestnuts of date and origin. Thankyou so much :-)
