I tried...I did..to get at the lamps I want you to see but it was just too much to do right now. Another day :)
    I did pull out these.
    1) The Popsicle stick and wood one was separated partially from it's base and fused back together incorrectly before I got it. I will fix it...and clean it....
I'm guessing school or Scout or some such project.
Sorry the finial shot is fuzzy. :p
    HAD to buy it! :)
    2) The globe one was left for whomever wanted it at storage and I almost didn't take it...until I detected the leaves. :)
I think I have the shade, a cool one, stored away.

Don't ask me why this system likes to rotate photos on its own. :p

I don't know if it's supposed to be understated or it's faded out.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

From the prices asked for the complete thing... I can imagine. And of course, how many shades would have survived when the metal bases didn't???? Not too many floating around out there. You could have one made! STILL big $$$!

Great thread! I am a lamp fanatic but, unfortunately, all my best lamps are currently in storage. I was able to find a couple on the web exactly as I have.

I have this reproduction Dirk Van Erp copper beanpot lamp. A real one is 20K or more. I have to be satisfied with mine by the Mica Lamp Co. for a fraction of the cost. I do have the hand hammered version as shown below.

I also have a quality bronze reproduction Tiffany Lotus lamp. As above, the price of a real one is prohibitive. Not sure of the size on this one but mine is about 18" wide.

Makes me want to unpack some of my lamps now. I have quite a few old lamps including several cool MCM ones. Also have lots of lamps waiting for restoration or for just the right shade. Maybe I can get some of these photographed.

These are such great looking lamps that everyone has :jawdrop:. I still have some modern common lamps around that I'm using but now I'm wondering why. There is no joy in them (only light:smuggrin:) and it's possible to have both so why not?

SIS... that's absolutely tantalizing. I may have to give more attention to my lighting situation!!!

Have you taken that one lamp apart to see if there's a maker's mark on the vase?

Most of the lamps I've seen have no maker's mark, but if a lamp incorporates something like a stand-alone vase, or ginger jar, or whatever, the chances are greater that at least that part can be ID'd.

The only Breyer figurine I've ever found was incorporated into a lamp, but I took it apart and sold it as a figurine:

Here is a cherry floor lamp that we made in our factory in the 90s. I have a very similar table lamp to match.

    stuff1201.jpg

These three need some work. Love the white slag glass matched with the black and chrome on the left one. Waiting for just the right shade. The old radio lamp in the center needs some slag glass. The one on the right has a broken ring at the top of the smoke bell that needs replaced. Had an identical one bought at the same time that was perfect and sold.
