I'll post some more pictures investigating the paint today.

Also I'll contact both of those sites.

The lamp is located in Bellevue, WA, but my dad will be driving it back to his house in Reno, NV anyone know of any good antique shops in between that he should stop by at for them to take a look?

Everyone's help has been amazing, thanks!

So I payed a $20 fee on vintage-ronson.com, now I'm just waiting to hear back from them.

My dad took a closer look at the lamp and says it doesn't look like it was re/painted.

    Here are a few more pics. WIN_20160921_171205.JPG WIN_20160921_171215.JPG WIN_20160921_171235.JPG WIN_20160921_171302.JPG WIN_20160921_171326.JPG

I love it that she is wearing that modest 1920s bathing suit.

Lamp body looks like all bronze to me, none of the usual indicators of spelter are present. You would definitely be able to tell in the pic of the bottom. The bronze there shows patination/corrosion that you only see on bronze. The original cord looked just like the grey section of cord inside the lamp.

& looks like she's stepping down on to the sand from one of those beach changing cabana's .....showing off her ample curves.

    It's delicious !

It looks bronze to me with a gold plating, doesn't appear to have been repainted with your latest photos.

@Brad - I didn't really understand what you were talking about before, after looking at these latest photos of the nude girl, is it possible that she is gold plated bronze? I have a similar statue and always thought it was the same gold plate over bronze finish.

After looking at Book's note about her bathing suit, I am in full agreement and think this is a 1920s lamp, rather than 1930s. (Obviously it would have been made before the company changed hands but I do think it's a beauty!)

I think the new pics rule out paint on the main body of the lamp. Could very well be gold plated bronze (or other base metal). The black is obviously paint but, whether the original or not, it is hard to tell.

Appreciate the pics of your lamp as I own one just like it without the globe. I bought mine at a rummage sale 30 years ago and the couple that owned it said it was a wedding gift in 1937. Ronson AMW - Thanks for posting!

Your lamp is the first I’ve seen like mine and yours is truly worth a pretty penny since you have the original globe. Cheers!
