    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    I've never seen anything like it before either....very unusual....love it without any paint!!!! But from looking at it, I'd bet 'Cluttered' is probably right on!!!!

    I don't believe in painting furniture unless it is beyond repair. I love wood!

    If it has, the person had major OCD to get in all the grooves and tiny crevices. I keep going back and forth on it. I do believe it was revarnished at some point.

    New pics confirm turn of the century age. Looks to be ash from some of the pieces on the sides, though other wood seems to be more non-descript. Overall look from the front and top is more like birch. Could be mixed woods, using the ash on the sides where less apparent.
