Liberte. The cruise included visits to Rio, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Bahia in Brazil, as well as Barbados and there are lots of slides of these places. There are some particularly wonderful slides in the collection and I thought I would share a few of the fun ones from on board.</p><p>The S.S. Liberte has carried quite a few celebrities. My favorite anecdote about it is that it is the ship shown leaving New York near the end of the 1954 Audrey Hepburn-Humphrey Bogart movie &quot;Sabrina&quot;, presumably taking Sabrina/Audrey off to Paris!</p><p>They are all written on the backside with location and sometimes a person&#039;s name. The slide of the young woman in the yellow two-piece swimsuit is simply labeled &quot;WOW&quot;! The last photo is of a travel photographer/artist named Charles Perry Weimer who happened to be on the cruise as well.</p><p>Sorry about the poor photos, taking a picture of a slide is fiddly work.
