kind of unique piece of antique. just want to know which era. made out of camel bone

    Call Sotheby's, they have offices everywhere. When they imply that the piece is too humble for them, ask for suggestions of other houses. In the US, search for ethnographic auctions, that's where it belongs.

    hey thanks springfld.arsenal for your suggestion. i also have heard that sotheby's is good. by the way what do you mean by the piece is too soft. does sotheby directly buy from us. i though they just function as an auction house.

    Guys thanks a lot for all the details. i did a bit of research. this is most certainly Benin. Just see the creatures in one of the pics. it represents a leopard. Not only that i do believe this is actually a elephant leg bone. I searched the bone structure of both the animals. camel bone seems to be more narrow.
