Thanks for all your help, does anyone know any Hebrew speakers who might be able to decode the writing as I am still puzzled as to why this document might have been saved for nearly 100 years? This was in a lot of other lovely judaica I purchased in an auction in February.

How about contacting s local synagogue? They may be able to direct you to someone who can translate the text for you.

hi - I have just seen you post - hope I can still be a bit of help
Where did you find it ? or is it something from your family?
I believe that it is a notice for a memorial service at the (placing of the..) gravestone of someone called Sarah Ga'La (daughter of Feirga Ellisahan) (i might have spelt it wrong) in Jerusalem in 1925. These memorial services take place 30 days or a year (or annually) after someone has died. I can't read the text clearly so I can't tell which it is.
What is interesting, I believe, that it is a notice from a Yeshiva in the old city of Jerusalem called "Torat Chaim Yeshiva " which has in Jerusalem since 1886!
Here is the link to the Yeshiva and maybe you can send them a copy of the notice - it might have importance to their very interesting history.
The link is https://www.ateret.org.il/english/about/yeshiva-history.asp (just dont send the something on a Saturday)

Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to reply. Sorry for not replying sooner but for some reason your messages got sent to my spam folder so I only just saw the message now! The document was in a lot of judaica I purchased from an auction in February this year, just before the world went crazy. The auction was in the North East of England called North Shields, near Newcastle. I have been fascinated as to why it ending up in the auction. I have also learnt about the Yeshiva Torah Chaim and how this was one of the only Yeshivas in that part of the city. Thank you for added some further details and I will check out the link you given me. Hope to speak to you again soon. Chris.
