Well, not trying to say i know what should be done but one thing for sure, it's not a good idea to kill the patient while trying to cure him.
Humans sometimes go way overboard in a panic about the unknown and due more damage in the process than the original malady.
The Governor should have at the very least included the Legislature in this decision, the way this was announced to the public was clumsy at best.

I know many are saying that Italy is comparable to here and other places but i am not sure that is correct. It could very well turn out the comparable is apples to oranges rather than apples to apples.
"Many Italians in Northern Italy sold their leather goods and textiles companies to China. Italy then allowed 100,000 Chinese from Wuhan/Wenzhou to move to Italy to work in these factories, with direct Wuhan flights. Result: Northern Italy is Europe’s hotspot for Wuhan Coronavirus"

I am thrilled to hear that you got your Bieber chest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic news. I have been helping a friend day and night for the past few weeks (not because of the virus) and just started to catch up here and found this happy news first thing.:happy::happy::happy::happy::happy: You are going to have such fun examining it; discovering its secrets and verifying your conclusions about its origin. I eagerly await the details of your revelations.

It was huh? Well, if it proves to be just some old chest with fake Bieber painting, then you are welcome to send it my way.:smuggrin::smuggrin:
It must be excruciating to get this close and not be able to get your hands on it, so you can see. I can't get over that you got it for so little, if it is actually a real piece. Talk to me when you get it and I'll lend you my gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer for your analysis. You'll have to pay for shipping though.

It would be nice if it worked like that but unfortunately, it doesn't.

I've been going over the photographs ( i know, always sketchy) on known bieber chests and the construction details, i am almost positive it's him.
There was/is a "design flaw" on his breadboard ends, they tend to separate after a couple centuries or so.
Look at this chest at Philly Museum

And here is left end on my chest, not the best angle but it's all i got at the moment!

Bieber had issues with his breadboard ends! I think it's the same guy who built those ends.

So the first chest is missing the breadboard end or is it the split of the two pieces that is the key?

No, not missing, just separating pretty much exactly the same way. Thing is, many Bieber chests have this issue so i am thinking it was a joiner "tic" he had when building.

I had to read up what a breadboard end was. So it's this extra piece that added to the end?

Yes, sorry, thought , assumed you knew what it was.
Basically serves 2 functions, to give a finished edge to a board instead of an end grain edge and 2, helps keep wide boards flat & hopefully free from "cupping" or warping.

I am completely unknowledgeable. This is why I appreciate your threads so much. I got it now. I see them all the time. I just didn't know their name and function. Thank you. So he knew how to put one on but not the best technique to keep it in place. Cool.
