    Hello Komokwa ! I've managed to reove the lamp mounting without causing damage. Luckily, the cable fed through a hole in the brass cover. I've since cleaned the vase (gently!) and it has made a difference - as per new thumbnails. Regards.

    we see a lot of vases here......& I' for one have had my fill of faces made with a few squiggly lines & folks hoping their prize is worth 1000 Pounds ..or bucks !!

    Now this...........this is nice !!!!!!
