[QUOTE="Torkel Oftedal, post: 500304, member: 9653"]Dear all, I seriously need your help here; This kimono was bought by my dad on one of his many business travels to Japan, in late 1960's early 70's (i belive) and have as such been with the family ever since. He always said that it was a special bridal kimono, which he could not resist buying, even if "very expensive" - not that i believe that he broke the bank buying it.

However, he is now sadly no longer with me, and this is an item that will have to go- it is to large to fit in any "normal" Norwegian home, even though it is a very nice piece to hang, even from just a design perspective. I have measured it to be around 185 cm in lenght, 119 cm wide, including arms, as photographed. All needlework seem to be done in silk, but again, i am no expert here.
