Then, at the top of the label are a series of characters that are in an entirely different &#039;font&#039; (for want of a better word), reminiscent of Korean...almost. I&#039;m a bit puzzled by all of that.</p><p><br /></p><p>The Star &amp; Crescent symbol I associate with Turkey (the nation)...does that indicate that the Standard Rubber Type Co. is Turkish? I don&#039;t think I&#039;m easily confused...but maybe I should reconsider in light of this label.</p><p><br /></p><p>I haven&#039;t looked at all of them, but the few I have examined all show having been used; ink residue on the rubber, and also on adjacent sticks. They may be in original order (those&nbsp; 1st 3 seem to be...) but that may be hard to determine.</p><p><br /></p><p>They are ~61.5mm long, ~10mm square, and all have an orientation divot on 1 side. The box top is ~5&quot; x ~3&quot;.</p><p><br /></p><p>From 1949 to 1959 Bretton Woods fixed the Yen at 360 to the Dollar...so if these are from that era, they were US$7.92...a lot of money then!
