Dear ALL, I have this box, it is considerably used, as you can see from the bottom side picture. I want to know how do I clean the top part to bring back the shine on the box. Is this a valuable piece (from some famous manufacturer), or I can use it off as a storage box. Further, the golden laquer on the main bird in the centre is a bit off /discoloured. What are those 2 things in the box on the sides, they move around. I think the gold leafing has come off that part. I have not washed the box with soap water or anything. Just a plain dry cloth wipe. Wanted to know more before I tinker with it. Also wanted to know is this Urushi work? or generic Laquer work? Bottom of Box
