Is this silver anything special?

    It may also just be worn. Looking back at the overall pictures of those spoons, I will say that they don't look right for silver.

    One can only hope. Please forgive me that I am not too optimistic. ;)

    The Rolex/Bucherer spoon is an advertising piece - very common - my aunt got one every time she stayed at a particular hotel in Geneva.......an hotel who's name escapes me at the moment...I have about a dozen of them laying around..........

    I see. It doesn't feel like much of anything. I agree. It looks like a give-away.

    I also have a couple of the Rolex spoons that were freebies. One was in our hotel room along with Swiss chocolate in Lucerne in 1964. It is silverplated. In the mid 1970s got another at a hotel in Geneva. This one had no silver content - probably nickel silver. As the one you have appears to have no silver contain, it may date post 1970.
