New coral has a glassy look, it very slowly turns buttery with (old) age.</p><p>There are no sharp carving lines, which even worn antique handcarved cameos have. Carvers carve a bit underneath a clothing fold or a flower petal, or behind a neck or cheek to show it is really handcarved, these cameos don&#039;t have that.</p><p>This is just about the cameos in the bracelet, I have a feeling the cameos in the brooch are real carved coral. The brooch is made in the same style as the bracelet, but could be the real deal.
