Is it okay to tape tortoiseshell for a week?

    Nah selling would be definitely be a crime. Might be jailed if reported. I just want to keep them myself. But if this won’t work I ll sell the rest on uk eBay, perhaps

    Tortoise shell is keratin (like horn), not bone. I don't believe it would be identified by x-rays, although metal fittings would show up.
