[QUOTE="verybrad, post: 178439, member: 37"]Picked this up at the thrift store the other day. I am not a big fan of clowns but thought this different. It is some kind of print enhanced with pastels. Not sure if it is an original print by the artists or a commercial one. Much of the work is printed. In the close-ups, all the mottled colored areas you see are printed. The pastels are used only in the pale yellow, black, and some of the dark blue. There are also the two ink lines under the eyes. Maybe a lithograph? Found signature when I opened it up to re-position the mat. Looks to be done in India ink. Ideas on what it reads? Just initials?

This has some age to it. It is on a heavy paper and has been adhered to illustration board at top and bottom. Someone separated the bottom to have a look at the back but there are no other markings. I didn't photo the illustration board but it looked like 60's to me. I think the framing is more modern. It has non-glare glass which I hate. Anyone recognize this as a commercial work? ... or is it all original? Pretty large at 20" x 26" plus the framing.

Thought a poll might be fun with this one. Vote good or bad and ugly or nice (2 votes maximum). You have to vote to see the poll results. For the record, I am not sure what I think about this one so you can't hurt my feelings ....
