I don't know if my information went with this or not, so I'll re copy what I wanted to know here below. Good day, I've been surfing the web so much lately that I'm water logged, and have ended up crashing repeatedly. I've been trying to find my pattern, age and of course worth to my Demitasse cup and saucer set. I've had it for many years and would like to know more about it. What I've found is that it is a gilded gold dandelion over a floral pattern. The gold stamp on the bottom says Made In Japan, so I know it is not Occupied Japan. But why can't I find even a proximity to my pattern and gilding for a made in japan item. I've found the gold gilding dandelion pattern on a few sets but not floral pattern underneath. I've heard something about blanks but cannot confirm the floral patterned cup n saucer are actual blanks. Where did my cup come from? Is it a combination of German made blank and gilded in japan? I do not own any other china as I gave it all away many years ago. I've kept this set because the lady who gave it to me was very special and meant a lot to me. I've had the set for 35 years. Mary could have picked it up anywhere as her husband was German and they traveled quite frequently. I received them in Canada. So as I've stated, I've no clue as how to locate their origin. Please help, I can't see me buying books to finish my quest, but the internet is a right royal pain in my eye. Thank you to all who respond. I hope this lets me post a picture in this post. Thank you Audrey aka cj1999
